Need your opinion on 50 rnd banana clip for 10/22

Hello everyone,

Yesterday at the gunshow in Montreal I found the guy who was selling 50 rnd clips for Ruger 10/22. These ones looks exactly like Butler Creeck ones. Plastic (hot lips) and transparent case. Does any using these ? What is your opinion comparing to 25 rounders ? The price for 50 rnd was 50$. Just interesting if there are any problems with these 50 rounders since the size was aprox the same (lenght) as a regular 25 rounder I assume that the pressure on to the spring is much heavier. Will it cause problems soon after starting using these mags ? I got the phone number of that guy and thinking to get 1-2 of these mags.

I got one from SIR a wile back didn't pay no $50.00 for it . Used it a few time , no problem yet . Long time to load , short time to empty

I think Eagle..... but I may be wrong and they are made by Butler Creeck.

Ramline (BC-like shape) and MWG (tear-drop shape), I believe.

Well he did say banana clip . As for the MWG tear-drop I have never tried one but have never herd anything good about them . Not saying ramline are any better But mine has worked good so far . But they are cheap plastic lips so I know its only a mater of time .

I bought one of those Ramline 50 round tear drop magazines. It seats the bullet below the barrel and into the flat part of the receiver in my Ruger target model. Completely useless for my rifle.

i paid $34 for my 25 rounder, so $50 of a 50 rounders seems like a good deal to me, as long as it works

I bought a 50 rounder (Ramline) some time back.Absolute waste of time,never got it to work well,and after a short time it fell in half,I just threw it away.OTOH,ive had great results with the 30 rounders from Ramline,no concerns there

I bought steel lip 25 rounders because of the feed issues many had with plastic lips. Let us know how well they work after 500 rounds or so. My steel lip 25 rounders say right on the packaging, "no fail feed lips". I didn't see this written on the plastic lip ones.

That was a good post ; I like the steel-lipped ones but have always been leary of the plastic-lipped ones. The phrase "the cheap man pays twice" comes to mind...
