My Tikka 338 win mag, Skinner rear sight, NECG front hooded band, my math was good on the front sight calculations, it is dead on at 50 yards. Needs a Bear name like its more expensive heavier Sako cousins. Maybe Yogi or BooBoo. It does wear a Limbsaver.

I have a similar thing going on with a blued model and the sako factory battue front sight in the same caliber. It is a great rifle to carry in hand

You have good taste sir

I shoot 300 grain woodleighs.

They actually make acceptable groups, I never measured them.

Seems to like 250's and 300's.

I have to say though, the big mag is right where I carry the tikka a lot of the time.

I am not sure if I would like to shoot a 300 grain bullet out of my rifle that might be what separates the Big Bears from the Small Bears.

^ 250 grain round nose for me seems to be the perfect mix of recoil properties if that makes sense. Not too fast (225 grain hornady factory ammo actually stands out as a an aggressive kicker) and not too heavy (sighting in the 300's is a bit of a chore). They also hit to a similar POI as the 300's in case you want to change up your ammo for a different kind of game.

Long live the panda

He might. His 1895s suffered from the same poor carrying characteristics because of the overly deep magazine.
