well. i just got my rugger scout action back from arms-coat (barrett did an amazing job on the nitron) and dropped in in the stock, and then took it out and dropped it in a rugger factory synthetic stock that i inletted for the scout, and painted, then cleared with rustoleum textured epoxy.

i cannot for the life of decide which i like better. i never liked the look of the spacer in the scout stock, though i fully understand the versatility the offer.
the rifle is mainly a hunting rifle. so i think the camp makes sense. and it definatley feels lighter than the laminate. but need to find a scale to confirm this as it could just be wishful thinking.
anyways. let me know what you guys think.

The LOP extensions on the laminate look crappy... if that is your only option, I would leave it in the synthetic.

ha!
they both fit well, i was mostly going for weight reduction. i do think the synthetic is a little lighter. i know for sure that the weight distribution is different. but not better nor worse. i need to get the synthetic stock out to shoot for accuracy as that will definitely be a deciding factor for me. i have no experience trying to accurize (sp?) a synthetic stock. but if its possible to achieve decent groups with it i will likely stay with the synthetic.

Was just going to say, use the one that feels the best/shoots the best. They both look good.
