NEF barrels

No you can't. There is a combo barrel program offer in the US where you buy one rifle and you can choose additionnal barrel/caliber for the same frame but it is not available to us in Canada.

There are different size in frame and different strenght so barrel/caliber must be chosen for the specific frame.
 
Any rifle barrel can be mounted on a SB2 frame. If you can find a barrel you can fit it to your frame if it doesn't fit right. Alot of time they fit without any porblem and sometimes they need a bit of tweeking. It's not that hard to do. Kind of like doing the triggers, the first one is always the hardest but then it gets easier.

I just checked on my 2 guns, a 12ga and 410 single shot, the barrels swap out perfectly.

It might be worth picking up an another barrel for fun.

When I bought the 410 ( 3 months ago ) it came with a order sheet for more barrels.

I did talk to the reps at the hunting show and they can be ordered through the Gravel Agency.
 
You should check out greybeard outdoors forum if you own a nef. Very informative site on these little rifles. Also malinowners.com has a section dedicated to them. Its true that it's harder to get barrels for them in Canada but still worth a look.
 
You are right the barrels can be order but the fitting done by the company is not available to us ....yet.

Of course if you are a gunsmith or somebody that is very handy with tools ...
 
It's not that difficult to fit the barrels. Any competent gunsmith could do it. But they have you send the gun to them for a new barrel because if they just sold the barrels they couldn't make sure you would get a competent gunsmith to fit it, and they don't want to be held liable for supplying you with that opportunity to screw up something potentially dangerous.

Thank you fat tony. If the Gravel Agency will supply additional barrels for my NEF Handi-Rifle, then if you visit Saskatoon, I will bake a cake.
