So after several years of shooting semi automatic rifles i decided to get my first precision bolt action rifle and see how it feels to get those super tight groups. :) After months of debating i got a Nemesis Vanquish Take down rifle in .308. The optic i ended up using is a Zeiss 5-25x50 with plex ret. and target turrets mounted in a ADM low profile QD mount. I only got the rifle yesterday so cant say anything about accuracy at this point, but fit and finish is superb, machining is immaculate, action cycles like through butter and that trigger is something else, very short travel (almost none) with very light crisp brake. This thing really does come apart and gets stuffed in to the briff case in under 40 seconds. :) Pure awesome.. :)

I noticed that this batch of rifles has some improvements from the previous models i have seen pictures of, The magazine release is moved from the right side to behind the mag so now its ambidextrous, also Markings on the receiver are much nicer now, better fonts and better "Nemesis Girl" logo.. these are the only differences i spotted so far, there are more, I'm sure..

I will let you guys know how it works once i get some range time with it. But don't expect me to prove you right or wrong on that "Nemesis Myth" of yours.. it will take some time to get use to the rifle in order to draw any conclusions. Also, i don't reload yet, so i can only use what ever ammo available at the store at the time... so please be patient.

So here are some pictures...

I'm sorry but a thing of beauty it isn't. Hope it shoots as well as the other one that gets mentioned here a lot. ;) For sure post some range reports when you get it sighted in.

You'll get tighter groups if you take the blue pills. Should be in a hidden compartment, bottom of case.
Remember: you don't need the green chems anymore.....

Im gunna sound like a newb but whats the nemesis myth he speaks of?
The "myth" is this:

Caramel, a prominent poster here, buys lots of expensive/awesome guns and scopes, and likes to share.
The best known gun (most frequent? favourite?) he's posted about is his Nemesis: from what I've heard, he is probably one of the first Canadians to have acquired one.
He also posts really fantastic looking groups, both from the Nemesis and from some of his other guns. (Steyrs, etc... :) )
Some members accuse him of being a braggart, or lying about the accuracy of his shooting.
Whenever he posts about a new toy (even a mere $150 Chiappa Little Badger or something!) people inevitably bring up his Nemesis, so they never really let us forget about "the myth"... >:/
