Do you knows if it's possible to find a net than i can install on the ejection port of my 1911. A couples months ago i saw a guy with a net on his CX4 Storm.
I don't want anymore to pick-up my cases on the floor.
Then simply tell them to back off if you see any such "vultures" closing in on your brass.
A net on any gun will upset the recoil and how it responds to hit the target. I suspect that what you're really after is a side shield of netting with an open pouch that you can set up to the structure around your shooting area at any given range. That way it's not messing up the handling of your gun. It's one thing to have a "brass bag" on a shouldered arm. It's a whole other to put something similar on a handgun.
If you do get a catch net with pouch at the base of it likely it'll catch MOST of the brass if it's well made and well set up to work with the ejection path. But likely you'll still need to pick up a few.
I saw a device a while back (don't remember where) that didn't attach to the firearm at all, it was simply a small net or cage that was held to the main shooting hand with an elastic that went around the palm of your hand, with a bit of thought you could likely make something yourself.

In my travels on the internet, I have come across a brass catcher for the 1911. I seem to recall it replaced the right grip panel. Looked kinda goofy, but hey, maybe it works just fine. I can't remember where I saw it, but they are out there. Try searching for "1911 brass catcher".
