So going to reload the reloads in anticipation of the Hawkeye
coming my way.

Magnum or regular rifle primers for the .358win brass?
 
I'm not sure of your meaning, did you get a vasectomy and need ###### or did you cut you barrel shorter and are asking about lighting off your load......:evil:
 
I think I understand the question= I get best results with CCI 200 or regular primers. Try 40 grains of IMR 4198 with the 250 Hornady SP, I have tried this in four .358's and it is always about .5 moa And works well on Mule deer and moose.
 
Selling a rifle and taking down all them reloads that were loaded up for it so one could
sell the individual components instead of gitt'in rid of reloads.
Gun bee gawn and the reload'in chit dint.
Then buying the same round in a diffrunt rifle.

What does yer reloaded book say?
Sometimes it depends on the powder you choose to serve up a magnum primer .
Just did some reading on the interweb and they suggested magnum primers if the charge is over 60 grns.
IMR 4895 and you'll never get 60 grs of powder in that stumpy case ;)

If you haven't torn them down yet why not try a couple and see how they behave.

standard primers in a .358 unless you're shooting ball powder in cold weather.
