Never fired?

Well is something that you will not understand if you are true Canadian. We peoples coming from former commie countries , we have a kind of familiarity with Russian type guns. And a kind of love relationship like real Canadians with the ugly Lee Enfield.
that was a good reply
I laughed at the ugly enfield bit hehe
I love the enfields , well, the no 1's anyways.
I've always been fond of the sks rifles as well because they are fun and a great firearm to introduce new shooters to the fun of shooting ..... and they always have fun because most sks rifles always go bang, ammo is (was) cheap and the rifles seldom malfunction regardless of what manufacturer of ammo you feed them. Light recoil, robust design that is safe and reliable. The only thing the SKS suffers from in my opinion is the accuracy department but that is more the round being fired than the rifles themselves for the most part. I've owned some horribly innacurate sks rifles but I've also owned many acceptably accurate sks rifles that I would hunt with if I had to. Thankfully I haven't 'needed' to hunt with an sks since my first year of hunting..... I had 4 firearms way back then an SKS-d , BSA SHTLE no1 MK3*, Remington 870 express magnum and a cooey .22 repeater. Killed my first grouse with that sks with a headshot...... believe that! and my first deer with that old lee enfield that still resides with me to this day.
