I took the 10/22 to the range yesterday and the thunderbolt wouldn't function the action, stovepipe every time. The cci mini mags worked better. Just saying.
I've read a alot of complaints about Remington thunderbolt ammo on line . leading duds etc. if I was you I'd just use them up in an old boltaction 22 and cut your losses. I saw some shumo trying to sell thunderbolts at the last gunshow for $35 dollars a brick . glue sniffer.
you could also email Remington and put in a complaint. I've been on some US websites and sometimes they will send you a coupon for some free ammo or tell you to ship it back to them . as I said this info is from US websites.
Ya the thunderbolts just don't have anywhere near the consistency to operate a semi auto. Some go BANG some go bang and others go pop! Sone of the crappiest ammo I have ever shot.
I'm 1500 or so through the 2000 I bought. Probably a dozen FTF from one box. Other than that not one problem. And all have been fired threw my new 10/22(stainless). I have only been using the HC3R mags.

While my 10/22 will fire them somewhat reliably, they are DIRTY!! Running Winchester high velocity, targets, or even 555's, I get thousand's of rounds downrange before I have to clean. Thunderbolts...about a brick.
