Why has this section become the place to sell things?
What happened to the dealer forums? Is this not the place to post about ACTION SHOOTING? Just a thought, maybe we should change it to Action Shooting Games and Look at What I Got to Sell.

It is becoming silly now.
"We have product.. !X"
"How much...?"
Enough already. post in the Dealer Forum!

When we all start paying for memberships...feel free to ##### ;)

price is $16.99
they will be on the CRAFM website this week
These are made for SVI/STI for Standard class, with the rear sights available for this class and type of firearm, they will fit the box

How is it a for sale ad? It is an announcement of a new product specifically designed for the IPSC community. The for sale post, with pricing, is indeed in the Dealer forums section where is rightfully belongs.

How is this post any different than if I (as a non-dealer) place a post here about some new 2-Alpha basepads I bought.

Virtually the same post in the dealers section has had 54 views... this one has had over 400. As far as i'm concerned, I have no problem with dealers or individuals announcing new competition products, or discussion current ones in this section.

A lot of shooters I know, have brought this up in discussion and have the same opinion as my self that if a dealer posts here about the wonderful things he or she has for sale, it is shilling. This topic came up at the Barrie match this last weekend and I have to tell you the consensus was overwhelming negative towards the few dealers who practice this type of advertising here.
My intent was to inform the few dealers in order to help. I see most of the other dealers who do not post "look what I got" in this form get it. What can I tell you, I think their is a big difference if a shooter brings up the topic of a product or a service verses a dealer.
But then again, what do I know it is just an opinion.

Idea:

why don't they create a sub-forum of the action shooting, which is specific to dealer announcements? this way the people visiting this section of the forums know it's specific to action shooting, and not have to go through all the other locations to find IPSC/IDPA etc. related items/announcements

I am GLAD you thought of that.
Fantastic Idea!

That's a pretty good idea actually. Lots of Action oriented shooters don't even see the dealer forums.
