Big Xmas and Boxing Day sales. Looking to get a new .22
I currently have a marlin795 which has been reliable and fun for both plinking and hunting. Several thousand rounds in, it is my most used firearm and why I want another .22

Henry lever .22 or ruger 10/22
Interested in opinions, even better if you have both already. Obviously these are two very different rifles. Thanks.

If you decide on the Henry…Cabela's (down the street from you) is selling them for $299. I'm not a 22lr semi guy (gets old quick) so I vote Henry.

I have both and loved my 10/22 for years and it's just a fun gun. Plus you can do all sorts of mods to it.
Having said that I recently picked up a Henry 22 youth model and I found a new love for the little lever gun. It is now my go to gun When I want to head out in the bush.
I say get them both.

the quality of both has gone down hill big time...........use the money to buy more ammo instead........

You've already got a great semi in the 795 , so why bother with another. I've got a Henry lever .22 and they are a lot of fun. I'm looking for a Henry pump .22

I have both, and I much prefer the henry. Personal choice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the henry is crazy accurate and I don't like the mushy feel of semi's. Both are good guns. The 10/22 can hold more ammo and fire faster.

I have owned dozens of both lever actions and semi's... both are just fun plinking guns... if you were serious about accuracy on paper we would be discussing bolt action rifles... since you have a semi already, get the Henry... you wont regret it.

I have both and really have nothing bad to say about either one. However I will be selling my henry because I have grown more fond of the 10/22. I notice that when plinking at plates or cans, when the henry heats up the accuracy goes a bit at anything past 50 m but it's still a great little gun. The 10/22 is just more practical for me. Hope this helps.

Cheers
Cody

I have the Henry Mares leg in .22LR/L/S and I gotta say its pretty fun to shoot, nice that it can take other rounds if you want a quieter shootnig day and feels really nice in the hands. 10/22 isn't to bad to shoot either but hey.. if you already have a semi, might as well have the more fun lever action right?

Lever.

I've got both a couple of Henry's and a couple of semis. My own tastes see the Henry rifles going out about 5 times for ever time the Ruger goes out.

The kids at Jr .22 nights voted as well. I've often been told that they like the Henry lever more than any of the semis or bolt rifles. And a dozen kids just don't lie when taken as a group.... :D

The ONLY guns they like more than the Henry is the odd time we bring out some rimfire handguns to shoot.
