New .22 Mossberg Flat top

Hello CGN users, today I received my brand new Mossberg .22 tactical flat top and when I put the magazine into the rifle it doesn't fit flush there is maybe half a centimetre of space between the rifle and magazine.Is this normal? The rounds still seem to cycle fine but is it safe?

I have the one with the carry handle and it has the same gap. Not a problem

I have yet to see one that doesn't have the gap some are larger then others its okay

Put a bit of that black one side sticky 1/4 weather stripping foam inbetween closes the space looks a bit better and helps it not to rattle

Great idea. I have 8 mags and yes they all seem to fit differently. Some rattle more than others but they don't effect cycling.
