Hi Guys ,

Just had the pleasure of testing a new 7.62x51mm can , made for the Accuracy International rifles running the new big 2 chamber AI brake , its printed TI , then heat treated , size is 40mm dia by 230mm long , 170mm forward of brake , weight is a very lite 205gms , finish is nitrided , looka like a dark tan .
Its very very lite , did I say its LITE .
Anyway , Db ran about 170 Db with brake , & mid to low 130s Db with the can on , thats running a 175gr SMK at 2700 fps , std 26 inche AW barrel .
I am going to get one , also the designer is looking at 338LM , NICE .
Company is in New Zealand , called Oceania Defence Ltd , do search go website and look at the vids etc .
Here's some crap pics .

I hate to burst your bubble Chris, but we aren't lucky enough to own anything to stick on the end of a barrel that reduces the Db rating of our firearms.

booooooooooooooooooooo. My girly-man uber-sensitive ears dont like you good sir. Having to wear ear plugs AND muffs kinda sucks...

Id love to get my hands on a good 3d printer. Id print up a full synthetic smle stock just because. One of these days ill bite the bullet and get one.

How were the dB values measured? Last time I talked to Burt he didn't have a sound meter.

One negative to a Ti can is that the material does not shed heat very well and thus it will produce a nasty mirage off the hot can. This makes life difficult when using high powered optics.

Ha ha, you sir are an a**... Lmao, only kidding man, this is pretty cool stuff only wish we could get that stuff up here in Canada. Kinda hilarious every time I see it though how places with "more" gun control than us have looked at sound suppressors and said they are a good idea, while our government looks at them and says "OH NO! Something that could potentially save peoples hearing like those big bad black things in the movies?! They must be evil!" lolz, anyways that is the end of my rant. Would be cooler if we could get them here, but I digress... Thanks for waving it in our face lmao.

Thats a nice looking piece of work,Congrats on a great job! We can't have them here, but we are allowed all the hearing protection we can manage.

Too bad that hearing protection still allows damaging levels of noise to reach the ears. You are being forced to injure yourself and compromise your health by government decree. No other CDN would stand for that but we shooters have no choice.
