New #4 Lee Enfield.

Some guy was selling a still in orginal packing paper enfield the other week on the EE. It went really fast, sold it for 800ish if my memory serves me correctly.

No it was not a No.4 Mk1, it was a No.4 mk2. No one bought it, it was pulled by the mods for not going with EE rules (he was trying to do an auction kind of thing)

Anyways, A non-fired LB No.4 Mk1* would probably go from anywhere from $600-$1000, maybe more since it would be such a collectible item.

1950 unfired do exist. Saw one at this past winter's show at Ancaster, Ontario sell as it was being put on the table before public openning. Was flipped by the purchaser for $800.00 and the new buyer claimed he had a bargain. Sure was nice!

It went for a lot more and there were a few offers for even more! We have in Canada an undervalued milsurp. We are 64 years after WWII. For us older guys, think back what in the 60s and 70s items from before the turning of the century were worth in those days dollars! Now ad inflation and the lesser amount that is available. Prices for the good stuff are going sky high and will continue. It is a much better investment than gold, pearls or diamonds and no comparison to our mutual stocks etc.....

If you you don't have to sell and are willing to wait, the value of a firearm can be 10 times your purchase price within 15 years and some under 10!

Regards,
Henry;)
