New 5.7 Sub2k just dropped

I don't get the attraction to the 57? Ammo is expensive and hard to find. The entire point of a PCC is to make it cheap to shoot.
Aside from competition and the fun of competing with a 9MM carbine (that is a huge market foe the product) the same might be said for the PCC 9MM platform in a civilian context.

Remove competition from the conversation and introduce a .22LR Carbine. Cheap to shoot, fun to plink with and great to pack along while camping for the odd rabbit or grouse that comes your way. The 9MM is not really ideal for bigger game. I know the story of the Alaskan guide who shot the Grizzly with his P 35 and the Alberta lady who nailed the largest Grizzly ever shot with her little .22LR but neither cartridge is first in mind for a Grizzly hunt.

I just picked up 800 rds of Federal .22LR for 5 cents a round from Cabela's vs 40 cents for store bought 9MM. Talk about cheap.

This hobby/sport of ours can be as cheap or as expensive as we choose and driven by as much imagination as we need to justify what we do.

The Gen3’s do. No need to take off the optic.
It still folds over the top.

I wish they would make it fold sideways like the FPC.
I wish Keltec revert the S2K to folding-inside-itself (getting smaller by volume) so there's a unique benefit to it (over the FPC side-folding girth).
Perhaps if the twist had been indexed at 30 degree intervals (and able to lock to any) that might have helped?
Or just end the foldie and do a 9mm Glock fed bullpup at 26.5".

I'm interested to see some initial reviews. I find my 9mm Gen 2 to be very accurate, so a lighter recoiling, flatter shooting round like the 5.7 seems like a natural fit.

ACD pick your poison for a plinker:
.22LR - 5 cent per round
17HMR - $1.29 per round
9MM - 60 cents per round FMJ
Reloaded - 20 cents per round approx.

For plinking, shooting golphers and the odd rabbit while camping I'll stick to my old Coey .22lr. For hunting gophers at >50;yards ok the 17 HMR.

To each his own I guess.

If it was cheaper a lot more people would shoot it. If a lot more people shot it, it would be cheaper. 5.7's problem in a nutshell. That, and nobody seems to have a definitive answer on the 5.7's ballistics. It's either only fit for the likes of gophers or it blows 9mm out of the water depending who you ask. Doesn't help that FN are keeping the milspec loadings from us, which are rumored to be far better than what's currently on offer.

Firearms and Glof Clubs are produced and marketed the same way. Too, enthusiasts for both purchase their firearm/clubs using the same logic.
Bob guilty as charged!
