New 5 stand being built in London (Crumlin)

Well, the CFO has granted us permission to start building our new 5-stand range. It will be laid out on one of our existing skeet fields. It will have targets thrown from 9 traps. The nine traps will include the high and low house that are already there, we will also have a rabbit trap, springing teal, 1 trap will also throw from the ground by the high house 4 different sizes of clays (min/med/standard/bats).

Once we have final approval from the CFO to open, we will be holding open shoots 1 Saturday per month. This will include 5 stand/Skeet/Trap.

Price will be $ 7.00 per round (5-stand), $ 5.00 per round (skeet) and $ 5.00 / round for trap.

#9 shot only for 5 stand and skeet, 7.5 for trap.

I will keep you all informed as we progress, pictures also. We hope to get this going sometime in September.

Hope to see lots of you out when the new range opens.
 
BTW, gobles is stocking #9 shot for $64.95 +tx per flat, i know it's not like getting a flat at lawrys for $60.00 all taxes in but it's only around $13.00 more for those that can't get there and you don't spend a whole lot of time driving to get it.

We are almost there! 7 of the 9 machines, installed, controls, done, roof on the shed, done! Its been a long, hard 5 months, i don't have a life. To the volunteers, THANK YOU! This is going to be FUN!!
 
yes today was a great test run of the 7 traps that are connected to the control system ( boy was that fun ). After next saturday, we will have the last 2 traps put onto the release contoller so all 9 traps will be functional. Getting the last 2 traps into the equation will make it that much more fun. Lots of laughs during the whole project. I am looking forward to seeing many of you come out and shoot 5-stand at this new range and enjoy all of the clay events we have at Crumlin.
 
well, opening day today and we shot 38 rounds between 10am and 1pm (7 full squads and 1 partial squad), only problem we had was a shorted winding on one of the older trap motors (which we replaceed by squad #3). thanks to all who made this a great opening day with many more good days to follow. We will be holding the first Saturday Crumlin Clay Days ( open to the PAL carying public -- trap/skeet/5-stand ) in february 2013. I will announce the date in the next couple of weeks when i know i have enough members to help me run this event.

Hope to see all you clay guys around london (or not) when we hold this.
