After a week of traveling from Alberta to Ontario my new Remington 870 Express Tactical as arrived at its new home at 7:50 this morning. After looking it over I can say it's a very well made shotgun. To my surprise the receiver is tapped. I know it is forebiden by law to talk about a new firearm without pics so here goes.

Now the fun part begins it's time to change the Model number to Remington 870 Express Tacticool. :runaway:

Sorry about the pics not the best.

Niiiiiiiice! Thanks for the gun ####. I love shotguns and extended mag pumps in particular. I guess the finish is still the same spackle/paint they put on my express, or is yours parkerized or something?

The finish is well done, but it's not parkerized, if it's called spakle paint and yes that's what it is. As long as it's durable that's my main concern.

Oh and I like the bottle opener they put at the end of the barrel, always nice to be able to open a beer bottle with a shotgun lol, I sure in hell wont be breaching any doors with that. lol

Maybe its Remington's new powder coat finish? The barrel looks to reflective to be the spackle crap. I only ask because the normal 870 finish is rust o matic. I love the 870 action so much and hate the finish so much I went out and bought a marine magnum. Haven't looked back since.

This looks different. Keep us posted on the finish and how well it holds up over time.

+1 for the Remi 870 tacticool. I bought one last Thursday from Le baron's for crying out loud. They don't even sell tactical bb guns so I just had to go for the door knocker version. Time to pimp it with the Mesa treatment I think.

Almost as fun as an AR. Almost.

They should come with a short rail....holes on the top of your receiver. Aimpoint etc. can be mounted. Alls come with a small sight to mounted on the rail. Should have been in the box in plastic tube?

I had one of these and most of the paint flaked off after cleaning it for the first time. Other than that it was a great gun. Hope you have better luck with it than I did.

Bought one a few weeks ago. The only issues I am having is the ghost rings. I am having trouble sighting it in.I have the bottom aperature bottomed out and I am 6-8 inches high at 25 yrds. When I place the front dot at the bottom of the ring I am now 2 inches high at 25yards. I am wondering if it is just me or what. And the paint wearing off around the the barrel when you clean it.Does not take much effort to rub off. Other than that, she is a great shotgun and will feed it more ammo.
