i posted this pis on the pistols forum but i thought it might interest some people here too.

first is my tokarov 1946 all cleaned up with its holster. the other is the new russian military pistol the mp 446 with its proper holster. boths guns are really amazing and fun to shoot!

Lol I kind of like the shape it's in. Gives it some charicter!
The slide has the same serial number stamped on it but not the date. I think they match?

Nice, I picked up a TT-33 last not long ago. Fun little gun to shoot, think I found a left handed holster for it finally. Now I just need to find some mag pouches for the extra mags I picked up.

Doesn't look scrubbed? If not, it's a very late 1946 because of the serration change. Don't often see a 1946 with an original slide like that.

Falco holsters might be your saving grace. I looked at their It. 34 (concealed) and It. 33EX (duty) and both were offered in left hand in the description.

here is some pics of the serial numbers.it doesn't looked scrubbed but then i don't know what a scrubbed one would look like anyways. when did they change to the different slides?

if the number on the slide was original would it not have the date as well?

The date was dropped from the slide during post-war production for Russian TT-33s. I don't remember exactly when but I know it was after 1945. It was probably when they changed the serrations in late '46.
