I mounted the scope this morning, and despite the wind and rain, I had to try it out. It definitely preferred the RWS Championship Edition over SK Standard Plus and Center X, with a best five shot group of .230" at 50m.

Very nice. Congrats! I have just bought a very lightly used ( 50 rounds down the pipe) 54.30 myself. Eager to shoot it !!

Beautiful rifle. Yes ammo testing is a must. I too was out today ammo testing with my 1813. Biggest disappointment was tennex, the ELEY Team was way better and 1/3 the price. I had good results in my Walther today with the RWS as well. Maybe try some of the pistol match RWS as I was surprised how good it shoots.

It was calm today so I tested Center X , and Midas + in the rifle at 50m, and I tried 100m again. Center X was no improvement, but Midas + produced groups from .20" to .28". At 100m the RWS did a best of .550" for five shots, and the worst group was .800", due to one flier. It looks like the RWS loads will be my standard load, with Midas +, when I want the best accuracy. The rifle appears to be more accurate than either my 54MS-R, or my 1907R.
