New AR-15 AI's ?

With so many AR variants currently available wouldn't there be enough interest for at least (1) company to offer the "classic" A1 configuration?

It seems that a lot of companies are looking for niche markets. This would definitely be one of them.

I've also thought this, I like the modern AR's just as much as anybody, but classic A1 and A2 style rifles have always really appealed to me for both the KISS factor and cool/collectable/historical factor.

You could always employ IRG/PRF and do a build on a NodakSpud matched set:

Then again, you could just troll the EE for a Colt SP-01. They come up every few months.

Get a genuine A1 parts kit! & a lower of your choice. We cannot get the Nodakspud receivers in Canada, IRG has tried, they are not registered with the state department for export out of the US. Which is a shame. IRG also has some retro lower in the works, but no news lately. Or as others have suggested get yourself a Colt SP1, they are on the EE every so often, or get IRG to import you a nice SP1 out of the US.
