From some Google searches I feel that this might be an area of some debate. I just changed out the barrel on an existing Stag upper/ BCG to a Spikes barrel (which was used with 500 rounds through it). Is there any consensus as to if a headspace check is required prior to test firing or is the headspace already set during manufacturing of the barrel/ barrel extension?
The bolt locks up fine and there is typical/ proper function with snap caps.
If a headspace check is required, recommendations as to who can do it in Calgary would be helpful.
