Going to buy my first norc ar after taxes and was curious what you all use for cheek risers? Or does everyone just use the adjustable stock and chin weld to it?

I own a mini-14 and was never a real fan of the chin weld I use while shooting it, and was curious if I should expect the same with an ar?

I would say everything depends on personal preferances. If you are just bench shooting it get all the toys you want for it. I use mine for compitition and it is alot easier to aquire a quick sight picture (for me anyway) with the factory stock and iron sights. Try to find someone who has an AR-15 or two that is pimped out with magpul "stuff" and then try a factory AR-15. Sometimes add-ons are a solution looking for a problem.

They don't produce chinweld, part of the design, unless you mount the Hubble on top in conjunction with a monolithic rail. That situation has more to do with the front scope bell and mount height required.
