In skimming through the specs, it seems that the only difference between the 21505 and 20580 is a camo finish and some M-lok slots? The difference in price is almost $300! What am I missing?
It appears that these "new" guns have retained the Supernova construction with the stock and receiver as two pieces. What is different or special about the M4 boltface? I assume that's referring to the Benellii M4 shotgun?
I've had a couple Novas, and frankly I prefer them to the 870 platform, but I am far enough into the Remington guns that I just don't want to replace them and start over with Novas. But...if I didn't own a pump gun (are there actually people like that?) and wanted one now, I'd be hard-pressed to choose anything other than a Nova.
The thing is that I haven't used 3.5-inch ammo since I moved away from turkey territory...but I think it's nice to have the option to use any ammo that comes along so I'd still stick with the original Nova. I like the molded receiver cover that is integral with the buttstock. The "14% shorter cycling stroke" means squat to me, and likely to anyone who spends more than an hour playing with a new 3.5-inch gun. Just my 2 cents, I'm not really a shotgun guy and I've been wrong before...
I'm interested in hearing and reading more about how these guns are going to "redefine pump-action performance, bringing next-level innovation, durability, and speed to the field" while being so little changed from their predecessors.
