can anyone direct me to some information on the colt AR 15. i am interested in getting one and would like some good background info regarding the different models and there advantages.

p.s is colt the way to go on this? - how does it stand up against a bushmaster for instance.

any other advice would be grand.
thanks
jon

Armalite, Bushmsater or Colt's will serve you well in any type of shooting, if you are getting into Service Conditions get atleast a 16" barrel, 20" or 24" works too but may not be as handy for other types of shooting such as Tac-Rifle. DPMS is good too but hard to find and I hear RRA is making it's way to Canada. Colt's have some issues with hammer and trigger pins if swapping parts is your bag, but it is not necessary in serice rifle or Tac shooting, the stock triggers work fine.

A2 vs. A3?????

regarding the AR 15 i'm not sure what the different is between the A2 and a
A3. can anyone help me out? is the A3 a large frame size?
any advantages?

Jon

I had looked into buying an AR-15 or similar for quite sometime. But in the end I picked up a DAR-701 Rifle from dlask arms in Delta, B.C. It has an m4 configuration with a rail system and red dot scope. Heard many good things and I'm quite happy with it.

The other "D" in ABCD is Dlask, the Canadian AR. Good call Officer487, and welcome to the board!
