New barrel break in procedure

The following video clip has everything you need to know to properly break-in any barrel. It's a refreshing look at the science behind this contraversial procedure IMHO.

If it works for an ex-USMC sniper it might work for you!:D:D

Let us know how you like the TC. I know someone who's thinking of getting one.

That was hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!

The topic of barrel break in will result in multitude of posts with no real concensus on whether or not it even exists. I am of the camp that suggests we clean our barrels regularly, but I do not believe breaking in has any effect on anything. Cheers,

I actually wrote a thread specifically on this a few months back. Check it out, it has helped many a fellow CGNers.

There is an excellent thread in the precision rifles forum. Don't bother with the clean and shoot routine. Clean it well if it is new and then shoot it.

1 shot then clean for 5 rounds, then 5 round groups then clean for 50 rounds? That's 55 rounds at about $20-$25 a box for guys like me who don't reload. I don't think I can afford to break in barrels like that.
