New Benelli!

I just bought a brand new Benelli Supernova yesterday Can't wait to start shooting with it.

Should I break it in or anything like that before I take it out hunting? I bought a .22 Winchester Wildcat a few months back. The guy I bought it from told me to fire it, than clean the barrel and repeat 25 times. Apparently this improves the rifling.

So should I be doing anything similar? Any and all advice is appreciated.

Mixed opinions on break in...I used to but now I only only buy used That said, this is a shotgun...does it have a rifled barrel? If not, then just go to to town, no rifling to "improve"!

Congratulations on the new purchase! I have one and love it. No need to break in the barrel as thier not rifled. Shoot the heck out of it and enjoy it.

I just don't let new guns get to hot for the first couple sessions.

Just clean it out. Lubricate. Buy Ammo. Use Up. Clean. Repeat.
