Hello Shooters,

I would like to announce the release of my new book:

"Applied Ballistics For Long Range Shooting"

As an avid shooter and student of ballistics, I’ve always wanted to write a book that explains the complex elements of ballistics in my own words. However, simply re-wording information wasn’t good enough. I wanted to make an original contribution to the shooting sports.

How many times have we heard it said that: “Someone needs to test all these bullets from the different brands so we can compare apples-to-apples”? This call for independent testing is what I set out to answer. I began the development of my procedure and equipment for testing BCs over 2 years ago, long before I became the Chief Ballistician for Berger Bullets. The method I developed to measure BCs for all 175 of the bullets in this book is accurate (repeatable) within +/- 1%, and is the same method I use to measure Berger’s BCs today.

The book has 3 major parts.
Part 1 is a discussion of what I call “The Elements” of external ballistics. This part has an entire chapter on each of the important fundamental aspects of ballistics including: ballistic coefficient (BC), gravity drop, wind deflection, uphill/downhill shooting, gyroscopic (spin) drift, coriolis effect, ballistics programs, sights, and bullet stability.

Part 2 presents some examples of how to use the elements of ballistics to perform meaningful analysis for various applications including: target shooting (prone, F-class and Benchrest), tactical shooting, and long range hunting with lethality and probability of hit analysis.

Part 3 presents my original contribution to the shooting sports: ballistic test data (drag and BCs) for over 175 long range bullets from .22 to .338 caliber from all major brands.

Applied Ballistics for Long Range shooting comes with a CD containing a modern ballistics program. Chapter 5 presents an experiment where the program is used with G7 BCs to predict trajectories that match actual drop to within 1” at 1000 yards for two different calibers.

The books are available for immediate shipment. You can order via (FRAUD ALERT) or check from my website.

You can watch a short video review on YouTube at this link.

Take care,
-Bryan

Hey Bryan, nice to see you here!
I was referred to your website some time ago, and I read some of your PDF documents available for download. I had some questions and you took the time to answer me. As simple as it may seems, that was very much appreciated, and for that alone I would buy your book. ;)

It's on my wishlist, and should be ordered along with my next month purchases. :)

For those who never heard of Mr. Litz, he's a true ballistics genius. Just take a look at his website, and read some of his articles. Don't be a schmoe. Buy his book.

Outstanding book, I have already done the first 5 chapters.

I have been an avid reader of all your articles in PS mag, the book is just as good

Got so into the book, I forgot there is a software disk in the back.

I can hardly wait to load it on my computer and start playing!!

Looks like a great book and I want it, but shipping within the US is $6, but to Canada it's $20. That's the same amount as everywhere else in the world and can't be justified.

If all goes well, I will be stocking copies of this book.

We did some number crunching and it will be less money ordering through Canada as postage is greatly reduced.

Hope to get the ordered booked today and we will see how long it takes for the pony to get up here.

Should be lots of good info.

PM me if you would like to reserve a copy

Jerry

The first batch of books have arrived and I must say, this is impressive stuff.

Lots of really useful info. I have only read a bit and the text is not engineering type boring. You will get alot out of this.

I love the sections comparing contemporary bullets. This is the only place I know of where many many bullets (hunting, varmint, match from all common manfs) are compared using the same parameters. You get normalized values that makes comparison realistic.

Bryan, great work and I love how you apply the ballistics info to how it can benefit you in the match and in the field.

I look forward to reading this over the next while.

PM's have been sent to those who booked a copy. For others that are interested in ballistics and LR shooting, this is money very well spent.

Really! If you buy this book and do not find it informative enough to be worthy of the price, I will gladly offer a full refund AND the shipping back to me. Sorry, shipping to you not covered.

Book must be returned (in a short time) in new condition and no evidence of photocopying.

Jerry

Sounds like a great birthday gift... for me from my boys :D

Send me a price and EMT info Jerry.

Thanks Bryan, looking forward to reading it.

Looks like an excellent book. I've been looking for something like this.

I sent a message to Jerry because I am leaving on deployment on Aug 17th and want to try and get a copy before I leave and not pay the extra 20$ US to ship to me

I'm in and sent the link to a few American Buds . Bryan you should move that youtube vid to the bottom left of your webpage . It's covering information .
