It never fails that once the itch to buy a new gun starts it doesn't take long before a new toy is in my safe. I had sold 2 guns over the past month and was doing so well to resist the urge to use that "gun money" to buy something on whim. Well today I went into LeBarons to get some reloading supplies and ended up breaking down and scratching the itch...So today a browning x-bolt hunter 223 joined the family. I have been looking for the right 223 for a while. I like the lines and fit of the x-bolt, and i've owned an A-bolt medallion in the past and really liked the finish on it, so since lebarons had it on special and actually had a 223 in stock I decided to go for it. The x-bolt isn't my first choice of gun, but since I haven't seen any 223 kimbers for sale, and winchester deosn't make their CRF featherweights in 223 very often this was my top choice for an available gun. So all of you that have or like the x-bolt hunters let me hear how they have worked for you...I'll post a picture once I get a scope mounted. I'm waiting for low rings, thinking about mounting my fixed 6x42 monarch on it, as right now that scope's just collecting dust and it's too nice glass to not be used.

Cool addition to the pack.
FYI - be careful with the screw lengths. I heard that some were only slightly longer in the set and to get them in the wrong holes is easy to do. Just passin on "hearsay" from a pro. But forewarned is ...

I have 2 X-Bolts one in .223, the hunter version. I have had it for just about a year now and really like it. Took many ground hogs with it this past summer. No issues so far other then some marks on the stock. My second one is the synthetic version in .270. Sail usually has the Browning rings in stock. I think they are $49.99 a set.

I just picked up an x bolt hunter in .270 and topped it with a nikon prostaff 5 2.5-10x40 scope. It feels and fits so well, I love it. I had the scope mounted in the shop as there was some concern about screw length. Figured I bought the rifle and scope from the same place I'd get them to mount it. Congrats on the new addition.
