new bp shotgun?

Anyone aware of anybody making new bp shotguns for hunting? 10 or 12 gu. The gun also needs to be priced low enough that I don't have to get a second mortgage to buy it.

Has a CVA SxS 12g bp gun. I was looking at it last Friday. I suppose it has the qualities you'd expect for a Spanish manufacturer,they were asking $199.00. You can e-mail Epps at info@ellwoodepps.com fo more details,they have a couple other shotguns there but I only looked at the one.

Shooters Choice has a used Pedersoli 12 gauge S/S for about $475 plus an antique 10 gauge for about $400. Pedersolis are a step up from teh CVA but I do not know if they are twice as good.

Good news is that with the strong Canadian Dollar the Pedersoli prices have fallen about 10%

I picked up a used 12 gauge single shot from the sales fourm

I have just orderd a 20 gauge flintlock smoothbore from Jackie Brown and there are several makers of black powder smoothbores in 16 and 12 gauge.

Does it have to be new ? What about an original Fowler ? or SXS 12ga cart,
or Spencer 12ga pump.They are all in the $250 range.If any of those will fit the let me know and I could scout around.

Nessy357 beat me to it....why not a classic 12ga. cartridge shotgun and use black powder shotshells? Some nice old side by sides around or an old Win '97, lots of old hammer guns avail.....you can get brass 12 ga. empties, and load them all by hand.
