new brake

I have the fat bastard brake on my .338 and it is superb.

The little bastard has similar reviews.

Check out this fairly comprehensive review from precision rifle blog about a comparison of the major brakes on the market. The little bastard has very good statistics, the only downside is that it is a loud brake for those beside you.

my next brake is going to be the Alamo Cowl Induction Brake

I'm currently running the APA Fat Bastard Gen 2 on my TRG 42 in 300WM. I had the Little Bastard Gen 2 on my 300WM previously and it worked quite well, but now it will be going on my 6.5x55.
 
Alamo Cowl Induction Brake looks like it would beat the hell out of the shooter....
The APA breaks are very good for recoil reduction but do direct one ton of pressure back at the shooter and it gets hard on the sinus pretty quick. FTE work well and save the sinus form getting hammered....what if the two breaks became one...hmmmmmmmmmmm :)
 
I have a terminator T3 brake on my 300 win mag and it kicks about the same as my ACR? It works amazing and everyone who has shot the rifle loves it. Also the muzzle blast isn't bad and no one has complained about it.
 
T3 is pretty much a APA as they had one shipped then coppied it from Jereds....JP recoil eliminator is rated pretty high on the PRS standings on the Precision riflemans blog i have read

Rearward deflection of the brakes are as follows. in degrees

Alamo Cowl Induction 35o
Terminator T3 34o
APA Fat Bastard 30o

I currently shoot a Rat worx Big Chubby brake and fined it very effective however i am no longer interested in the over the barrel design of either the Rat worx or Badger FTE

Guess will go with a 38 degree then...hahahahaha
Have a used a GA thruster break and it worked well on my GA 338 lapua...smooth contour design too...ran flush with the barrel
