New Browning T-Bolt

Has anyone had a chance to check out the new Browning T-bolts that are starting to hit the stores. They come in 2 different versions. Wholesale Sports has the Sporter in stock for $629.99

They said they have 18 of the Target/Varmint on order that haven't been delivered that will sell for $649.99. I will definitely be buying one of these two guns, I just cant decide which one.

I am a big Browning fan, having owned a .22 A-Bolt for 14 years, bought it new. Have bought and sold many guns over the years, but just enjoyed shooting with that A-Bolt. Topped with Leupold bases and rings, sweet.

What do you guys think, will the T-Bolt gun be a huge success or is it priced too high to appeal to the average .22 plinker? Is it must have for anyone else's collection, which model, sporter or varmint/target?

The sporter has a very slender barrel, so I would definitely go with the Target/Varmint model.

I looked at it today in Wholsale, very nice gun. Light and feels nice to shoulder. The straight pull bolt is very nice and the wood is very nicely done. A little on the rich side, more than I paid for my 77/22 and is comparable to it, although I don't know about accuracy comparisons. I bought the 77 with modification in mind anyway, the one thing about a 77 that others are missing is the 3 position safety. Nice gun if your looking for a higher end 22. Just my .02.
