I was in the local, fabulous gun shop here in Kamloops. Mark had a new Browning ABolt target or something it was called. .223 8 twist, 28inch barrel big & heavy, single set trigger, laminate stock. Looks nice. Trigger felt pretty good too. Anyone here shot one?

Heard about it a few weeks ago, haven't seen it at the range yet. I am sure he will bring it out one Sunday to show it off.

I'll stick with what I got though. Not many options for a Browning as far as accessories.

For a competition rifle in factory class, it would be an interesting option but you run into what to do with it if you want to progress to TR or open.

Most of competition shooters prefer very light triggers. Not sure how light the Browning will get to but there are few aftermarket options.

A very classy action and Browning rifle are usually very well finished.

But if you want accessories to make a rifle more competitive, Rem and Savage have that covered.

My guess is that the rifle is over $1000?

Sticker was ~$1300 or 1350 maybe. The set position on the trigger was nice and light. Did not test it or anything, but felt good. The unset was around 5#'s.

Set triggers may not be allowed in factory class shooting. Might want to check to see if allowed.

That is a lot of coin and you can build so much more for that kind of cash.

But it may not have the finish the Browning offers.

Any factory trigger is fine in factory F-Class.

Mark Anderson is an excellent F-Class shooter and has competed all over the world. He is now having fun shooting factory rifles in competition to see how he makes out. He is apparently going to try campaigning one of the Brownings this year in FTR as his Savage Palma experience this past year was really mediocre.
