Hi,

I am trying to get my shooting to another level...

I am shooting two different rifles, both under 1/2 MOA. sometimes near 1/4, usually 7/16, sometimes 1inch... 😂

Paper at 100yds mostly for sight in. Then 8inch gong at 500-550 yds.
Goal is to push to 600-700...

My 243 is a tikka t3 w/stock upgrades (1:10 barrel), shooting SGK bthp 85grains
My 308 is a Savage 10TR (can’t recall the twist), shooting Hornady match 168grains

For the 308, choice was made based on availability. For 243 I tested many different bullets around 85-105 grains, hornady, Sierra, Barnes. Sierra gave me the best results.

I am using lapua brass, CCI primers, H4350(243) and H4895 powder (308)
Neck tension about 0.002
Full length sizing (bump 0.003)

Es around 15-30 both loads (using magnetospeed)
Sd around 12-15
Es and SD tell me my reloading technique and loads are quite good (for what I’m shooting)

Question is:
I never yet fine tuned seating depth (not well in fact). Before I try to do that, is there something you would change?

I was told some bullets would be more consistent in terms of BC and dimensions and weight. (Berger for example). But I know my 243 won’t shoot well over 87-90 grains.

Goal is to get a little better/further. Without breaking the bank too much. Does changing my 168 match hornady for 168 berger would help?? Or not really?

Thanks a lot!
