I just saw that Bushnell has a new reddot for their Trohpy line; it looks very similar to an ACOG. I realize though that is it is still 1x with a dot reticle.

Any reviews on this?
For $200 it might not be bad... they are made in Korea as are most of their other reddots.

Anyone seen better prices anywhere?

Thanks

Acog clone

hello there, I just saw you ad on the Acog clone, the one made by Busnell, I saw the same unit at PD, not bad for the price, but it actually a reddot no magnification, if you wanted magnification go to 1337tactical website, I just order one and try it out, and it look every thing like the ACog NSN TA01, it is the best unit for the prices, compared to my real acog , the glass is not as good, but looking from 5feet away, I couldn't tell which is which, anyway check out the site!

I have one of those Bushnells. It's pretty beefy compared to other low-end red dots. It has a "T" type reticle with a dot in the middle where the two lines meet and can switch between red and green with varying levels of brightness. The scope is essentially a regular barrel-type red dot scope wrapped in a thick aluminum casing.

The recticle pattern is very interesting. The T has a dot in the small space between the horizontal and verticle lines. The dot is about 1/4 min. The sight goes red for day and green for low light. I'm going to mount it on the daughters flat top and give it a try at the Wildwood match on the 16th. I'll let you know how it works out!

Be aware that this scope sits a tad low for an AR-15 if you have front iron sights. You may need a riser for it.

No front sight on this piece but riser is a must for sure.
I bought the cheapie Marstar riser. Works fine and it's built well, but it's a bit taller than I would like.
