Placed my order for a 20" barrel CDX-30 in 308, with a twist rate of 1-10 to stabilize heavier subsonic projectiles, complete FDE rifle with Steiner M5Xi 5-25x56 optic, Atlas bipod to hold it all up for me.

Looks awesome - I like the optic choice.

Can you please do a write up on this guy. There is shockingly little info on these in the wild. Not sure where you are located but I have a TRG and maybe I can scrounge up someone with an AI.

Will do my best over the next couple of weeks, having owned both TRG & AI rifles in my time

I appreciate that kind sir. With an AI price I would expect AI quality/accuracy/durability. I would love to have a made in Canada option that could compete.

Initial inspection on my part indicates fit & quality on par with the other major players, I have interacted with another owner who ownes a .338LM Cadex rifle who is also a machinist & is impressed with the fit & finish, he has also attended a long range shooting class & had no issues engaging steel beyond 1000 yards consistently.

Can you share your thoughts on it? How it compares to the AI triggers perhaps?

Ever since I got my AI a few years ago and got used to the 2 stage trigger I am a convert to the 2 stage. I've been looking at a few 2 stage options to switch over some rem700's that currently wearing Jewel's.

It breaks like a glass rod - It is set heavier from the factory which is not a critism though for me because with gloved & colder fatigued hands this is a lot less liability, also they can be adjusted from 1.5 to 5lbs.

Serious question - You've owned some pretty sweet rifles, what made you choose .308?

Seems like that is last centuries cartridge - especially for shooting distance.

First off I like 308 because of its versatility, second I have a large amount of the ammunition squirrelled away, if I was in fact shooting competitively I would most likely choose another caliber ( 6.5x47 etc etc etc ).

Fair enough, thought it might be something along those lines. I guess at the distances I'm shooting my .308 might as well be a .22.
