New Canadian Ranger Rifle

Had the pleasure of shooting this beautiful .308 this morning. Shot 3 X 5rd groups all less than inch with Norma match 168gr.
Then tried the CADEX .308 with a suppressor and same ammo...1.2 inches lol.
Unfortunately you will not be able to buy the real Ranger rifle. A standard Tikka T3 is as close as you'll get. Phenomenal weapon system.

They actually don't have pics on Google of the real one! The one I shot had a red (pink) stock. They didn't like it when I called it pink...but it's pink.

It had an S&B for accuracy testing but the issued rifle has a diopter style iron sight. Very cool.

Is it .308 or 7.62x51? Is it marked on the barrel?

It's 308, and not for combat use, that way they can use hunting ammo in it, if i'm not mistaken.

Kind of like this.... Glad they are getting some new stuff... Tough job in an extreme location.

The ammo I used is NOT what they will have. They will use a hunting projectile in the 165 to 180 gr range. They are still testing. After all...it needs to take down fricken polar bears. The Norma match I used was just what they had lying around. I would have one of these in a millisecond if I could. Absolute tack driver.
