Got it off Antique Gunlist. With the help of an antique status letter it slipped through customs without even being opened as far as I can tell. Two weeks from sending the money order to receiving it. No tax either, and I was fearing near $500 in taxes if they got me.
1895 date of manufacture, just short of the 'smokeless' frame serial number range. Everything is original, got all the clicks in the hammer, strong action. Antique class as it is chambered in .41 Colt.
Much beefier gun than my Thunderer, which is pictured with it. That picture is on an angle with the Thunderer closer to the camera, but I'd say it's like a S&W modern K-frame to a J-frame for comparison.
I'll get some 'rustic' pics outside later this week when the weather gets nicer.
The price I will keep to myself, but I think I got a deal on it, as the .45LC are the ones that go for big money in the USA.
