Saw a buddy yesterday.

He got a new in the box 12 gauge Cooey 840 from an estate sale.

He wants to sell it.

What might he be able to get for it?

I have a new in the box Cooey model 840 in 12 gauge. I paid $200.00 for it almost 2 years ago and I will not sell it for less than that. When it is a gun like this most likely a collector will be interested. And most collectors realize that even an original box is worth something, especially if in very good conditioin. A very good to excellent condition gun should bring $125.00-$150.00--maaaaaybeeee $175.00 to the right person. One that has not been fired with the box should definately bring more. It just depends if a person is willing to hold out and not sell right away. I know one thing, if the gun is unfired with the box, have your buddy send me a pm. I will pay $150.00. Now if a person isn't a collector and just wants a shooter, then perhaps they won't pay that. But like anything else, for every 20 people that look at something, only one might be really interested. There are lots of people who would like something for nothing, me included.

It's a Cooey not a model 21 Winchester collector or not its $150-$175 if it was a 20ga or a 410 maybe $200
Well I guess people have different ideas on something's worth but I can tell you that I am not the only fool who would pay $200.00 for an unfired gun in the original box. And as I said if you are not a collector, then unfired, excellent original condition means nothing to you. That is why I also said in this case a person would have to hold out and not sell to the first 20 people who will offer $125.00. I guess I will PM the poster of this thread and strike up a deal because if he wants to tell his friend to sell it for $150.00 I will play the fool twice.
