Well I thought Id try something different this year and bought this Mini 14 Target to give hell to them "yotes"
Ive a Burris Fullfield II w/ BP, got the Harris adapter and Harris swivel bi-pod (only $20 more then the knock off Shooter Ridge)

Im in the process of loading up some 52 gr. Berger HP match bullets w/ Benchmark and some with Varget. My new Nosler reloading guide reccomends this Benchmark stuff for the .223 and Ive always had great success with Varget. Ive also got a few hundred .223 tracer rounds for it too which should be pretty cool.

The rifle is a heavy little beast so I picked up one of those neoprene slings that are supposed to reduce the felt weight of the gun..not sure if its true or not but at least its grippy and will not slide off my shoulder.

If this rifle does shoot like everybody claims it will be quite the rifle for predator hunting and for self defence when the terrorists come to Moose Jaw:D

I haven't shot one of these yet but if they shoot as well in real life as I've heard/seen on Youtube then I think it beats the crap out of all the other non-restricted .223 semi-autos as far as price/accuracy goes.

I would go as far to say "restricted" as well, that is if it shoots as well as the gun mags and a few owners say.

The one I shot was very accurate for a semi auto, but the first shot was always outside the group. I guess it doesn't get slammed into the chamber exactly the same as when it loads its self after being fired.
 
I'll be interested in how you make out. My own short lived experiment with a semi .223 for calling coyotes lead me straight back to the bolt guns in 22/250 and 22 Middlested. I found that I killed more coyotes with the flatter trajectory and better accuracy of the bolt guns then I could possibly pick-up with faster fire. The Black Special went down the road, but if I only had the $1000 that a Ruger runs tied up it might still be around.

cool, myself and Hornhunter on the forum here might be going out soon (when its not 50 km winds) for a morning gopher/coyote blast fest. I'll shoot you a PM.

I might be heading the same route Dogleg but I had to give a try, you only live once and their are many rifles to try out :D Still have not found a better rifle then mu old VSSF in 220 Swift..brings a tear to my eye :D

I've been guilty of dreaming up a use for a new rifle, when really all I wanted was to own, shoot and play with something else. Nothing wrong with that.:D Your Swift sounds like great rig for the south country.

Could also be the cold barrel syndrome (first shot goes "here", the rest go "there")
