New CZ 20ga SxS ----------> W/PICS!!

You guys have to SHOOT grouse? We have 3 kinds here in the foothills-mountains of Alberta. They are ruffed grouse, blue grouse and pine grouse. I regularily kill all 3 kinds when big game hunting. Usually I either club them with my walking staff, or shoot them with a slingshot (wrist rocket). I have even lasoed them with a boot lace. Are your grouse on crack or something? I take it they fly when you approach them.

Our grouse are smarter than yours ... they actually try to get away when you want to kill them.

Must be something in your water.

I went out today to shoot the last grouse alive in NB, only to find out I was too late :mad:

5x out for grouse = 1 grouse:mad:

The last couple of years, the grouse here have been REALLY spooky, usually flushing before you get even a look at them.

I flushed two today, seeing only one for about 1/10th of a second :(

SC, great photos! I envy you :) Are those pheasants released or wild.

I haven't had an opportunity so far to try my 20ga (or the 12ga Bobwhite that I also got a month ago). BTW, I spent the past 3 days in St. John on a biz trip, my first and really liked the area.
