Just got my new Cz 452 is there a certain way to break it in?
I have other rifles to shoot after about 5 rounds through the CZ
Conflicting reports say to use lighter loads while other say just start Blasting away.
I bought a brick of American Eagle and was hoping to spend the day at the range.
Any suggestions I want to treat this baby nice.

I believe that's only an issue with CF rifles. Rimfires - I think - just need to have the factory bore cleaned of oil/grease, and then go shoot. Clean it when you feel like it.

Shoot the hell out of it. Clean it occasionally. Oil the action a little.

Shoot the hell out of it. Don't forget to take the action out of the stock and turn the trigger weight down immediately. Then go online and order a Brooks trigger kit (cheap.)

While you're waiting for the Brooksie, shoot the hell out of it.

Make sure you order that EricBrooks trigger kit, it will turn that gun into one you will reach for more often than not from the gun cabinet.
Oh yeah and did anybody mention yet, Shoot the Hell out of it.:D

Breaking in a barrel by cleaning it after every shot for the first ten shots will not hurt it. Probably not necessary with .22 because of the relatively low velocity and well lubricated lead bullets....but I personally do it anyways.
I have a 452 ....took it to a gunsmith and for $50.00 ... he was able to work the original trigger so it breaks clean with no overtravel ... he replaced the CZ spring to reduce the weight to 2 1/2lbs. My American shoots well with Winchester Power Points.

For $15.00 you could have had 4 ERICBROOKS triggers with all different weights, but then you would have had to buy 3 more CZ's to use them all up. Although I fail to see the problem with that.:D:D:D

Clean it first to get any gunk out, then a little oil on bolt, then shoot it. I don't clean my barrel anymore; just the bolt face and inside of the receiver. I also found it to be much more consistent, rather then when i use to clean it after every range session. Experiment a little and see what works best for you. I'm sure you won't be disappointed in the CZ452, I love mine. Two thumbs up for Brooks trigger kit, huge improvement over my groups and overall accuracy. Hope this helps. :)
