New CZ 512 ammo question

Hi, was at the store picking up a CZ 512 (my first semi auto), the guy there said you'd need high velocity ammo for the first while for it to cycle properly. Has that been your experience? I have only CCI standard velocity on hand, do I need to pick up mini-mag or stingers?

There's no reason a CZ 512 can't cycle CCI SV. It's the "quiet" type of .22 ammo with sub-standard velocity, i.e. under 900 fps, that may not cycle.

I started mine 512 with CCisv. Mine is the first generation with the two springs

This brings to light and interesting Cabela's story where the clerk was trying to make a sale.
The customer was prompted to delve deeper into the clerk's experience.
Did not own a 22 nor did he belong to a gun club.
I have seen one or two at my clubs . . . hardly makes me an expert.
Testing SV ammo will probably have positive results and agree about dropping any velocity below 1070.

While typing, and error on clerk prompted "cluck" and and deeper prompted "diaper".
Politicians and diapers should both be replaced regularly for the same reason!
