New - CZ SxS (with external hammers)

A dream come true, for me!!

I wouldn't worry about the lack of an English straight stock on this model - it's bound to be one of the first "improvements". Even if I'm wrong and a majority of hammergun nutz don't want a straight stock, enough of us will demand it that it will have to be offered as an option.

From what I can tell from the image, the butt stock and receiver are fitted in much the same way as the CZ/Huglu hammerless models - the same stocks should be serviceable with minor inletting differences (if any).

CZ has a winner with these, for sure. Reliable hammerguns that are proofed for nitro smokeless powder have been hard to find for years. Add to that removable chokes, and you've got the largest untapped segment in the industry, IMO.

CZ just added longer bbls to an already existing design (Coachgun). They could have simply offered the straight grip option in parallel.

What I would really like to see is a 20ga along those lines. Regrettably, I've just about given up on 12ga.....just don't see a need at all for Upland in ON.

Beats me though as to what CZ is trying to achieve via choosing such dark background for their website....fails to display the products with adequate clarity.

Depending on the length of the trigger guard it might be possible to easily convert the gun into a straight grip.

My only question about this gun is weight. The Coach gun is a pretty beefy item and the added barrel length would make it heavier. In 20 gauge (or daring to dream a 28) it would be delightful.

I concur on the weight aspect. The Coachgun is nice....haven't come across many reviews but I would like to get one :).

You are right....the new one, in a sub-gauge (20 or 28) could become quite popular.
