First of all, I apologize for all of my Diemaco related threads lol I don’t know if it’s just the fact we can’t get many Diemaco parts in the US or if it’s the fact that Diemaco makes some quality stuff and have been innovators throughout the years, but I’m obsessed lol

I’m looking for some pics of the new(er) Diemaco end plate that has the round sling attachment points that bend outward. I saw a picture of one a while back, and am now having trouble finding it again. I’m hoping to be able to make some copies.

Actually, I just remembered where I saw the image (it was sent to me). This is it. Anyone have any other images of one that they wouldn’t mind sharing?

They're being retrofitted to current service C7A2 and C8 aswell. Our weapons shop got a box of them last year to start changing around (along with new castle nuts).

Would you mind getting some pics sometime? I can’t find anything online. I’m not even sure where the guy that sent me the above pic got it from. I’ve tried every term and every combinations of terms, and still can’t come up with anything in a google search.

I'll have to wait until I get home in the winter, but as long as I remember, I will.

Well considering how my search for some more details/images has gone so far, I probably won’t have found more than I’ve found so far by winter time haha sounds good though. I appreciate it! If I’m still looking later this year, I’ll try to remember checking back with you.

It's not quite right, but at the moment I'm using a modified Tiger Rock SA114 as a stand-in. I had my gunsmith increase the bend the "arms" to 90 degrees and do a little light reaming to keep 'em QD compatible. To a detail eye it'll stand out like a kick in the balls, but... well, you've seen it on the build pics of our C8A3, which I just put the down payment on greening the furniture this afternoon. :)

Stolen from Mr D, thank him.

Thanks again for the pic! Another member said he’d try to get some pics for me today. I’m still thinking they are thicker than the other 3 (at least the 3 I’m aware of) end plates. I’m working on some copies of the triangle end plate and have it about perfect. I used 1/8” steel instead of the correct 9/64” thick steel, but unless you get calipers out and know what you’re looking for, it’s not noticeable lol having a little trouble getting the domed end of the index pin just right, but waiting on some tooling for a die that I’m going to make that I think she work perfectly.

Your pic has me on the hunt for a new latch now too lol I was going to skip the newer latches, but man that’s just such a better design. I may just try to eye ball it.

Once I get some copies going, I’m going to start working on my own designs. I just really like Colt Canada’s style, but I can’t afford to keep buying the real parts haha

That end plate you are making looks brilliant! I bet I know where you got the original from ... ;)

I wish I had taken a many more photos of that new end plate and latch. If you do make copies I would absolutely be in line to purchase a few from you!
