Saw these new flash suppressors on Dlask's web site. I'd be all over one for my Type 97A Shorty if I was sure that I'd still be able to take it to the range in the future. Both are $150..not a bad price IMO. Has anyone tried one?

By the time I order my mini moose upper I'll be able to get everything I was going to source from the States direct from Dlask (gas buster CH, large ugly FH and carry handle riser)

i wonder what noveske has to say about the knockoff... but then I guess CMMG also makes one very similar and frankly the noveske is a knockoff of a russian design anyway. so dlask now makes vortex, phantom and kx3 clones :)

all of which are basically unimportable to canada.... buy canadian :) screw the USA State Dept.

:agree: Can you imagine the kind of hell you'd have to go through to get an 8 1/2 inch upper with all of the toys from the US. I don't even want to think about it.

I have run the kx3 on several of my lowers, from my experience it does really well at directing the noise downrange, recoil wise I believe it actually increased it or so it felt... as little as I could tell.

the main benefit to me is the less noise and backblast... especially on my 11.5" gun. be aware though that these flash hiders do need maintenance and you should buy a spare cone to go with them so you can replace it when needed.

i did not check dlasks site but are they selling replacement cones ?? if not that is something to consider when buying one.

So.... now we are trashing on canadian companies who are doing something to get us the goods that the U.S. refuses to ship north to us terrorists....

my gawd, you just can't please some people

Anything Dlask made is of the highest quality, whether it's a copy or not.... if you want to miss out on a good thing.... that's up to you.

But in my opinion, Good on Dlask and any other canadian company who steps up to the plate to get what we want made on quality CNC equipment out of quality materials.

I've been using Dlask made products since he first started cranking up his CNC's , I've recommended them to many many friends and clients...... this has never come back to me in a negative way. Seems there is always the same guys on this site trashin on Dlask........ when he is one of the true friends we have in the industry here in Canada.

I own a XB1 (well actually I just sold it on the EE). It is an exact copy of the KX3 (I also own). The XB1 I sold is extremely well made, comes apart just like the KX3. It also has the recessed cup inside so you don't have to take it apart and clean it all the time.

Buddy,

I agree that Dlask makes some good products. There are many ways of showing ones talent...

BUT a direct rip-off ???

How about something original ??

I truly hope that Dlask is not reproducing any Smith Enterprises Inc Vortex Flash Eliminators .If he is he will most likely have a very long and expensive court battle looming ahead of him.

As for your claims that it is a US Companies fault that we are not getting the cool goods for our rifles that is Horsesh$t. Look past your nose it is a problem that is entirely controlled by the Government .I have talked to many suppliers about this at Shot Show over the years there problem is getting US government export approvals and permits as it now adds significant costs to the products they wish to sell to us making it unpalatable for them
