I was quite happy today to find out my new Dlask 10 22 receiver and 12" barrel came in today. I continued to be happy until I couldn't get my stock Ruger bolt to fit in! Where the bolt drops in the ledge over the ejector hole is not machined far enough towards the front of the rifle. I can slip the bolt in by putting it on an angle and going bolt face first but can't do that with the charging handle installed at the same time. Am I missing something or in my brand new receiver NFG ? Anyone else had this problem? This is the new style receiver with picatinny rail machined on the top.

Cell phone camera but you get the idea of my problem

I'm half tempted to put in on the mill at work and fix the problem myself, but I don't think I should be dealing with this problem in the first place.

I think you should send it back together with the bolt, and they will fit it for you.
They will take care of it, including the shipping expenes.

Do not try to machine it, because most likely you will wreck it.

I just bought a receiver and 16" fluted target barrel there (Dlask) today, drove back home (1 1/2 hr.) and I have the same problem with the bolt not fitting. Just got off the phone explaining the problem and they told me that some of the new bolts (mine is 2 weeks old) are the problem. Do not attempt repairs yourself. They are going to open their shop on Saturday so I can go in for the bolt to be installed and any machine work to the receiver. That's pretty good customer service to open on their days off. Give them a call or email and see what they can do for you.

Well said!

Dlask has always been the epitome of good customer service when i've used 'em for gunsmithing. I'm quite sure they'll make things right in short order.

No company can prevent the odd hiccup, it's how they handle it that sorts the wheat from the chaff.

I called them first thing this morning and told them my problem, they said to send it in with the bolt to get the problem remedied.

I will be sending it off in the next day or two, will update when it gets back.

Forgot to mention the pins to hold the trigger group won't fit either.

+1 on talking to Dlask...

I once bought an 870 barrel from Dlask that "wouldn't fit", well, it turns out that my 870 was slightly out of spec as I saw first hand the barrel fit in several 870's he had in the shop.

I would bet money that your 10/22 bolt is slightly larger than the norm. No problem, it'll get fixed :)

P.S. Red Magnum, you scared me with your pics... I thought you were going to say you tried "prying" it in, but it still didn't fit. Hehehe :D
