New Enfield

I have a friend who's wife is holding a brand new enfield. I'm not sure of the model but she thinks it was manufacutured sometime in the early 1940's? Still in the crate, still in grease, never been issued. She is gonna try and get more info. Any ball park on value?

Go to the milsurps section. Is it still wrapped in the brown paper? If so you're looking at $750 and up.

I don't recall the Irish rifles being in a crate. I wonder what it is?

Sounds like one of the early Savage made Enfield No4 imports of many years ago.
