This was a neat build... trued the left hand 40 X action (it was a factory magnum bolt face), chambered the Shilen barrel for the 7mm RSAUM and worked and adjusted the trigger a bit. Bedded about 2 inches of the barrel to the back of the action and installed solid aluminum pillars. I don't know the make of the stock but it certainly is well made.

I hope it shoots well, I think it will, the build went very well with no problems.

I haven't shipped it yet and I am waiting for instruction on final trigger weight... I think a pound would be nice with this trigger group...

I had the same issue with a Bernosky stock and an XP-100 action. Art Bourne contoured the stock at the back end of the action and I think it ended up looking pretty good.

My customer wants to finish the stock himself and possibly he may do that as well... I think it looks better...

Now that is a TOP KNOTCH looking job by one of our TOP KNOTCH Canadian gunsmiths. I almost put looking in there...........................LMAO.....

Great job Dennis.

I think more people need to really look at whom they get to do there builds. Someone who knows or someone who thinks they know.

Pretty neat build right there. Stock looks like it would handle recoil really well. Even 1 lb is a pretty heavy trigger for an Open gun. 7RSAUM has alwasy appealled to me for an F-O build.

Dennis,

Bet it shoot like a SOB!

How many hours would it take to shape and finish the stock?
To me its not right when the bedding is ###ier than the stock... :)

Nice bedding btw!
