1st thing you need to do it remove the spring assist from the forend. and get a single point sling mount.

The price has dropped since I had mine, I paid $849.00 plus tax. When I sold mine last fall, the price was listed at over 900 for the Proforces.
It is a real pain in the ass to try and load a round into the chamber through the ejection port while trying to hold the fore end back.
I also found I had the tendency to short stroke the gun when the spring was installed.
There are a number of situations when you would want the bolt/fore end to stay in the rearward position, when the spring is installed you have to hold it to the rear, it gets annoying.

It's pretty easy actually. Just unscrew the mag cap, remove the barrel, then the forend and you will see the spring on the mag tube (normally in the space between the forend and the mag tube). Just pull it off and reassemble the gun. Easy as pie.
The spring assist for me had to go. I had a tendency that sometimes after blowing off a slug, once the pump would unlock the spring would shove it forward locking it in with the empty shell still in the chamber. It kinda pissed me off from time to time.
