Hello From Toronto.

My name is Rebecca i am a student at York U. I just got my pal. A guy in my bio sci class is always on this site and he told me to join and check it out.

I have the Restricted pal. I never knew you had to add a r infront of pal when you talk about it. I assumed everyone had there restricted? Why wouldn't anyone get there restricted?

The guys that showed me into this hobby said i should get my restricted before it gets banned like prohibited.

Welcome abroad!....I love how the anti's insinuate that all gun owners are uneducated, hillbillies. The majority of gun owners I know have their BA at the very least...anyways sorry about going off on a tangent but you will find this happens a lot on this site!

Gun owners need to have a good education and good job as it is a far more expensive hobby than golf or any other hobby out there. Just look at the collections of some of the people on here I see $20,000 plus collections on here and hell there are some guns I've seen that will cover that single handed. I spent at least 4-5 thousand in 2010 just to have fun shooting.

Thanks for all the love guys. Im in the process of getting my B.Sc. I have not met alot of gun owners yet, but the one i have been introduced to are very educated and in high standing in society at the very least they have a job, very polite, very responsible etc. Not the low life scum, the media portrays us as. In my own opinion Target shooting, hunting etc is just as normal and safe as a hobby like golf etc.

I'm pretty sure there are more people struck down from lighting while playing golf in a storm than there are accidents with firearms when the handlers are educated and safe about the subject.

Just like any hobby, firearms does have a risk to it, but if you be careful and don't act like a moron you will be just fine.

This is my opinion, your might vary and that is Ok. Everyone is entitled to the own opinion on life.

Sorry Gun Guy, I just got asked out, today at lunch.

Welsome! Great to see more and more ladies getting into the hobby! I try to get my wife to shoot a bit. She says she doesn't like the rifles so much, but shooting handguns, she admitted, is exciting :)

PS: Shooting is safer than golf. With guns, we don't shoot when other groups are standing down by our targets :)
